My name is Tom Sinclair, and I'd like to share a little about myself. My dream of becoming a filmmaker began when I was five years old after watching the 2000 film The Grinch.

I instantly fell in love with the movie, and it inspired me to become a film director and filmmaker. At the age of six,

I became fascinated with the behind-the-scenes features on the DVD, watching them repeatedly. I was captivated by the magic of how movies were made.

 

My dad signed me up for theatre classes, where I learned a lot about acting for both film and stage. When I was ten,      I attended my first film-making day camp and discovered just how challenging and rewarding the process of making movies could be. As I grew older, I continued to develop my skills both in front of and behind the camera.

When I got the chance to be in a major Hollywood film with Woody Harrelson and work with Bobby Farrelly, an award-winning director, it was an incredible honor. Bobby showed me the ins and outs of filmmaking and taught me what it takes to become a great film director. I absorbed all his advice and industry tips, applying them to my own short films. My hope is to inspire other youth and adults who aspire to be in the film industry, giving them the opportunity to step into the spotlight or work behind the camera.
